In New York, to find which historic district your home is in, if any, you can search New York State's database of historic buildings, structures, sites, and surveys: Cultural Resource Information System (CRIS).

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Go to https://cris.parks.ny.gov/Login.aspx

Step 2: Click on Proceed as Guest.

Step 3: Click on Search.

Step 4: Click on Spatial.

Step 5: Type in your home's address.

Step 6: Click on Find Address.

Step 7: Click on the circle for your home on the map.

Step 8: Click on View in the dialog that pops up.
