Yesterday, at Linda Maryanov's Thursday Think Tank study group, I learned:
- We can now search for New York Surrogate's Court records online at NYS Courts Electronic Filing (NYSEF).
We still cannot search for New York County Surrogate's Court records on WebSurrogate.
The screenshot above confirms what I learned. The split-view is of WebSurrogate on the left side and NYSEF on the right side. As you can see, New York County Surrogate's Court is not available as an option from the drop-down menu in WebSurrogate, but it is available as an option on NYSEF.
UPDATE 11/3/2023:
- New York County Surrogate's Court Records Will Be Available on WebSurrogate Starting 11/6/2023.
- So, we will be able to search New York Surrogate's Court records (including New York County's) online on both NYS Courts Electronic Filing (NYSEF) and WebSurrogate. (The picture at the top is from before 11/6/2023.)
- I'm keeping this post but crossing out old information to show the process of learning, confirming, and updating information.
